A Friend in Need…

Glocky finally saw Violet and… Well, he assumed the worse. He rounded on the girl with a glare.
“Hey! Who are you? Are you the one who was hurting Alex?”
Alex cried out again as something seemed to hook into his mind, keeping him from running any further. Desperate and terrified, he tried to fight it, falling to his knees and gripping his head in his hands. Oh God, it felt so wrong, so awful and who was doing it?
“Stop it!” he begged, eyes squeezed shut. “Please, please, stop it!”
It was now quite clear to Violet that she didn’t need the mask. She tugged it off quickly and shoved it in her pocket, calling desperately to Glockenblume, “No, it’s okay! My name is Violet, I’m a friend of his.”
She wanted to explain more, but she needed to keep her attention focused on Alex. He was fighting her mental hold, and it was so easy to hurt or scare a person even more if she did this wrong - she needed to concentrate.
“Please, get hold of him before he can run again!” she asked Glocky, knowing she wasn’t strong enough to restrain the blue teenager on her own. “Alex, no, don’t fight it! I’m here to help you!” She concentrated again, trying to bring even a little sanity to the forefront of his mind.
When Violet removed her mask — and Glocky could see the look in her eyes; a look of concern — he believed her. He nodded, briefly, then looked between ehr and Alex, trying to figure out what was happening…
And then she gave the order. “Y-Yeah, okay…” Glocky wasn’t sure, even with how scrawny Alex was, that he could restrain him when he was so hysterical, but he had to try. He took a running start and launched himself at his friend, trying to tackle him to the ground.
